Student Focus – Principal’s Message

As our students prepare for finals and Regents examines I would like to offer some practical study tips:

Create a Study Schedule: Plan your study time and stick to a routine.
Get Organized: Keep your study materials and notes well-organized.
Set Specific Goals: Define what you want to accomplish in each study session.
Find a Good Study Environment: Choose a quiet, comfortable place with minimal distractions (NO CELLPHONES).
Use Active Learning Techniques: Engage with the material through summarizing, questioning, and teaching others.
Take Regular Breaks: Set a timer and stick to the schedule.
Practice Retrieval: Test yourself on the material regularly to reinforce learning.
Use Multiple Resources: Diversify your learning materials (books, videos, online resources).
Stay Hydrated and Eat Healthily: Good nutrition can improve concentration and energy levels.
Get Enough Sleep: Adequate rest is crucial for memory consolidation and cognitive function.
Form Study Groups: Collaborate with peers to enhance understanding and gain different perspectives.
Limit Distractions: Put away devices or apps that can interrupt your focus.
Review Regularly: Periodically review your notes and materials to reinforce learning.
Stay Positive and Motivated: Maintain a positive attitude and remind yourself of your goals and achievements.
Keep a Notebook of Questions for Teachers

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found items have been placed on the table by the back entrance. If your child is missing clothing or other items, they should be looking on this table. Unclaimed items will be donated and discarded. Found electronic devices are located in the Main Office. Students missing an electronic device (phone, earbuds, etc.) should see Mrs. Keaney in case they were found and returned here.
