SSCS announced the winners of its annual Summer Reading Challenge and honored these students at its September Morning Program.
The program is for all students in grades K-5. Students in grades K-1 are challenged to read 20 or more books over the 10-week summer break. Students in grades 2-3 are challenged to read 20 or more chapters, and students in grades 4-5 are challenged to read 40 or more chapters during the summer reading months.
The winners for this challenge were Grade 1- Rylie Bean, Gabriella Cornwell, Mason Cornwell, and Jack Parsons; grade 2- Maven Armstrong, Charlotte Ferrone, and Avaleigh Puding; Grade 3- Olivia Carpenter, Mila Issa, Matthew Edwards, Sasha Jones, Landon Thurley, and Kaden Korona; Grade 4- Bailey Puding, and Grade 5- Jack Richardson.
