Ten members of the SSCA Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter attended the 2023 National Fall Leadership Conference in Providence, Rhode Island, November 10-12.
This conference brought together FBLA members from schools all over the country and gave them the opportunity to participate in motivational general sessions, professional development, career planning workshops and explore area attractions.
Program highlights included:
- Business & Leadership Skill Labs – All attendees were challenged to hone their business skills in an area of interest to them.
- Professional Development Breakout Sessions – Students had the opportunity to develop professionally through breakout session including leadership trainings, workshops with college admission officers, and roundtable discussions with other student leaders.
Attending the fall conference were SSCS FBLA members Hailey Cashman, Peyton Fassett, Yasmin Issa, Ava Jump, Kirsten Kennedy, Tyler Lyon, Jayna Manko, George Nelson, Griffin Pizza and Clayton Van Patten.
FBLA helps high school students prepare for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs. New York State has a 170 FBLA chapters with student membership at 5,600.
