PRESIDENT’S AWARD FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE
The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding commitment to academic achievement. To be eligible, students must earn a Grade Point Average between 90-100. As part of the criteria, recommendations have included activities in which the student demonstrates high motivation, initiative, integrity, intellectual depth, leadership qualities and/or exceptional judgment.

Presented to students who demonstrate good citizenship on a consistent basis. More specifically, students were nominated for this award that demonstrated, a positive attitude toward classmates, school, and community, that display an understanding and appreciation of civic responsibility, and possess strength of character and the courage to do what is right.

KINDERGARTEN READING PROGRAM
The Kindergarten goal in Reading this school year was to read 100 books by the 100th day of school. This not only included read-alouds at Story Time, but class books, writings and text in Guided Readings used for learning the skills involved in Reading. We are proud to report that we did read individually and as a class 100-plus stories by the 100th day of school. In total, the class read 400-plus books and are still reading. Here are the individual Reading award winners:
