New SSCS teachers get a tour of Sharon Springs as part of new staff orientation in August.

SSCS welcomed five new teachers and a school counselor at a half-day orientation on August 30. The day included a walking tour of the school, setting up new teacher webpages and a general overview of SSCS school climate and culture by Superintendent/Principal Yorke and SSCS teacher mentors.

The group also got a school bus tour of the Town and Village of Sharon Springs. Thanks to tour guide Barbara Handy and Tom the bus driver who pointed out Sharon landmarks, various historic points of interest, farms, and the homes of the families we serve.

Thank you to the tech support from Jacqulyn Insogna and our teacher mentors Stephanie Fuller, Keri Jones, Chris Smith, Danielle Connors, Tonja Law, and Randi Korona for getting them off to a great start!
